Elizabeth Rojahn
Elizabeth Rojahn (1916-2005) graduated from Oshkosh Teachers College in 1938. She worked as an administrator for the State Department in Foreign Services, traveling to many countries including Lebanon, China, Japan, Israel, Canada, and Greece. She was a member of AAUW, the Ladies Benevolent Society, the Oshkosh Museum Auxiliary, the International Relations Club, the Winnebago County Historical Society, and Trinity Episcopal Church. Elizabeth volunteered as a docent at the Paine Art Center, EAA, and the Grand Opera House. Through an estate gift, she established the Frank & Anna Rojahn Endowed Scholarship in memory of her parents and the Ruth Mace Endowed Scholarship in memory of her aunt.
Frank Rojahn (1885-1967) was a bookkeeper for Warning Sheet Metal Co. and Kummerow Store before his retirement. He was a member of Oshkosh Lodge 27 of Masons, Tyrian Chapter 15, and Oshkosh Commandery 11. Anna Rojahn (1887-1967) was a member of the Algoma Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and the Wednesday Club. They were married in 1912 and celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary before Anna’s passing.
Ruth S. Mace retired from Oshkosh State Teachers College in 1936 as Dean of Women. Ruth was chairman of the Social Life Committee, advisor to Student Council and the Girls’ Athletic Association, and faculty member of the Alethean Club. She attended Arnold College.
