Family and Friends of Greg Olsen

The Greg Olsen Sociology Award was established by his family and friends in his memory. Greg Olson (1951-2007) was a sociology instructor at UW Oshkosh. He was an adviser to the Sigma Pi fraternity, a member of the Senate of Academic Staff, and a founding member of the Earth Charter. Greg had a very interesting career that revolved around families, disabilities, and legal advocacy. He was a strong supporter of non-traditional education and served as a member of the instructional team of UWO’s Center for New Learning for many years. Greg earned his bachelors and master’s degrees from UW-Milwaukee.
