Family and Friends of Robert Prielipp

The Robert Prielipp Memorial Award was established by the family of Robert W. Prielipp after he passed away in 1998. Dr. Prielipp started as a member of the UW Oshkosh mathematics faculty in 1967 and served for more than 30 years. He was a prominent member of the School Science and Mathematics Association (SMMA) for over 25 years. In addition SSMA, Dr. Prielipp was active in the Mathematical Association of America, Wisconsin Mathematics Council (WMC), and the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics. He was the first recipient of SSMA’s George G. Mallinson Distinguished Service Award in 1989. He received the Distinguished Mathematics Educator Award from WMC in 1992. Dr. Prielipp received his undergraduate degree at Wisconsin State College at Stevens Point and his doctorate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
