Janet Dallas Buggy
Janet Dallas Buggy worked from the late 1970s to the early 1990s as the Oshkosh Student Association secretary for UW Oshkosh and went on to become a successful antique dealer in Scottsdale, AZ. She established the George D. Dallas Scholarship in 1995 in honor of her father, George, and his accomplishments. With the scholarship, she wants to recognize those students who share in her father’s zest for a full life.
George Dallas grew up in Stevens Point, WI. He was an outstanding athlete at Stevens Point High School, playing a major role in the school’s basketball and football teams’ successes in 1941-1944. He was something of a sensation in the Stevens Point recreational baseball leagues for more than a decade, played golf with a passion for many years, and was an enthusiastic fan of virtually all sports. Along with his wife, Norma, he retired to Scottsdale, AZ after a successful business career.
