John E. Lenz

John E. Lenz graduated from UW Oshkosh in 1975 with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. He is the president of CMS Research, Inc. and was a former member of the UW Oshkosh Chancellor’s Advisory Council. John established the Charles J. Lenz Scholarship in 1997 in memory of his uncle.

Charles Lenz (1917-1997) had a 31 year teaching career at Omro High School, where he taught social studies, English, history, driver’s education, and forensics. He was also an advisor for the school newspaper and publicity director. Charles graduated from Oshkosh State Teacher’s College in 1939 and received a master’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was a member of the Omro Kiwanis Club, the Oshkosh Knights of Columbus, the UW-Madison Alumni Association, UW Oshkosh Alumni Association, and the Wisconsin Teachers Association. He was also a former president of the Winnebago County Education Association.
