Kathy Devereaux
Kathy Devereaux received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984 from Cornell University and enrolled at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2003 to pursue a dual degree in Special Education and Elementary Education.
As a non-traditional student, Kathy established the Lifelong Learner Scholarship for Academic Excellence during her final semester at UW Oshkosh. The scholarship is intended to recognize the accomplishments of returning students who may or may not have had a successful experience at another school, but have excelled in college as an older student. The unique challenges of non-traditional students, whether it be family commitments, the balancing of work and school, or the sacrifice of funds while returning to college are factors which make the achievement of high grades even more difficult. Kathy believes that education is a gift, especially as a returning student.
