Kimberly Udlis
Kimberly Udlis received a master of science in nursing degree from UW Oshkosh in 1999. Two years later, Kimberly returned to UW Oshkosh as an assistant professor in the College of Nursing. She earned her Ph.D. in nursing from Marquette University in 2009. She established the Patricia M. Noble Scholarship in 2011 in honor of her mother who she credits for instilling her passion for nursing.
From a young age, Patricia M. Noble dreamed of becoming a nurse. However, unexpected family circumstances required a change in her higher education goals. Rather than entering nursing school after completing high school, she began a life-long career at an insurance company. Although she successfully advanced in this company, was an honored administrator, and retired after over 30 years of service, her dream of becoming a nurse was never forgotten. It was only through her love and support, both emotionally and financially, did her daughter’s dream of becoming a nurse come true. Now, it is a dream shared between mother and daughter. In honor of a mother’s dream, and in gratitude for helping to make her daughter’s dream come true, the Patricia M. Noble Scholarship Fund was created to help students achieve their dream in nursing, despite adverse circumstances.
