Mabel Rasmussen

Mabel Rasmussen, of Oshkosh, attended Oshkosh Normal School and was in charge of the kindergarten department of the Fond du Lac public schools until her marriage to William Rasmussen in October 1920. Mabel had been president of J. Rasmussen & Co. and a member of following organizations: the Twentieth Century Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames, the Mayflower organization, Daughters of American Colonists, and Ancient and Honorable Magna Carta. Mabel passed away in March 1969. She established the Mabel E. Rasmussen Memorial Scholarship through an estate gift to assist UW Oshkosh students based on financial need and academic merit.
