Michelle Bartz

Michelle Bartz graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1991 with a bachelor’s degree in business. She established the LTC Paul R. Bartz Leadership Award in 2011 in memory of her late husband, Paul.

Army Lt. Col. Paul Bartz graduated from UW Oshkosh in 1990 with a bachelor’s degree in history. While at UW Oshkosh, he was in Army ROTC and then began a successful military career. Lt. Col. Paul Bartz was a highly decorated soldier, receiving the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, and Army Achievement Medal. He was killed in action in Afghanistan on May 18, 2010, at the age of 43.
