Robert Vedder

Robert Vedder was born on May 24, 1908 in Oshkosh. He married Viola Nelson on June 27, 1942. They had one son, James. Robert established the Viola C. Vedder Memorial Scholarship through an estate gift after his passing in 2004.

Viola Vedder (1910-1994) graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1961 with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She was an elementary school teacher in Wausau and Green Bay before moving to Oshkosh and teaching at South Park Junior High and Jacob Shapiro Middle Schools until her retirement. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, the Retired Teachers Association, and Twentieth Century Club.
