Rod Edmonds

Rod Edmonds established the Dr. Dwight M. Edmonds Scholarship in memory of his father in 1999.

Dr. Dwight Edmonds was a member of the UW-Oshkosh accounting faculty from 1971 to 1982. A native of Powell, Wyoming, Dr. Edmonds received a bachelor’s degree in business education from Eastern Montana University, an MBA from the University of Denver, and a doctorate in accounting from UW-Madison. He was appointed associate dean of the University of Wisconsin—Oshkosh College of Business graduate program in 1973. He was later named the accounting department chair. A 1981 recipient of the University’s Distinguished Teaching Award, he stressed the importance of making learning an enjoyable experience. Dwight resigned from UW-Oshkosh in 1982 to teach at Wilfred Laurier University in Ontario, and later retired to live in Wyoming. He passed away in 1998.
