Thomas A. Plein Foundation

Thomas Plein graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 1963 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology. Thomas, whose family owned 7-Up bottling plants in Oshkosh and other Midwest cities, founded the Thomas A. Plein Foundation in the 1980s to advance his family’s philanthropic interests. Grateful for their business success, the Plein Family believes in giving back to their community.

The Thomas A. Plein Foundation established the Thomas A. Plein Memorial Endowed Scholarship in memory of Thomas, who passed away in 2004. The scholarship was created to provide educational opportunities to those who demonstrate financial need. They established the Thomas A. Plein Nursing Grant in 2013 to support nursing students with financial need.
