Joseph B. Laine Outstanding Senior in Speech Communication Award

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment Status: Full- or part-time undergraduate
  • Declared Major: Communication Studies
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Grade Level: Graduating Senior

Selection is based on academic excellence, involvement in extracurricular activities (with primary emphasis on communication-related activities), and demonstrated leadership. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.

Award Payment: Spring 2026 or Fall 2025 (based on recipient’s graduation date). If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
