Elinor V. Metzen Mathe Scholarship

This scholarship is open to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the Oshkosh campus. Undergraduate applicants must have been admitted, or have applied for fall admission, to the Teacher Education Program. Graduate applicants must be enrolled in one of the following master’s degree programs: Teaching and Learning, Special Education, Literacy and Language, or Educational Leadership. Preference will be given to students intending to teach at the middle school or junior high school level. Preference will be given to applicants who have left the teaching profession and have decided to return after a lapse. Priority will be based on the applicant’s long-term goals and indication of their dedication to a career in education. Evidence of outstanding scholarship will also be considered in the selection process. Financial need based on an essay will be considered, but will be of secondary importance. This award will be paid out in Fall 2025.
