Jim Dykstra First Generation Freshman Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Any Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
• Must be a first generation college student
• Must have financial need
• Must demonstrate leadership in extracurricular (excluding athletics) or volunteer activities

Selection shall be based primarily on leadership. Academic achievement and financial need are of secondary consideration. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.

Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
