Community Enrichment Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Any Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 2.0 high school GPA. GPA is not a consideration beyond meeting the minimum requirement.
• Must submit the FAFSA and must not qualify for need-based grants. At the time of selection, the applicant cannot be the recipient of any other UWO scholarship (recipients can forfeit other UWO scholarships that were previously awarded to them).

Selection is based on financial need and the applicant’s desire to attend UWO and better their life, family, and community with a college degree. Special consideration will be given to students who 1) plan to use their career and life for social and community enrichment or 2) are graduates of Algoma High School in WI.

Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive three award renewals beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:

• Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
• Remain in good standing
• Maintain a minimum 2.25 GPA
• Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
