Dan Grady Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2020 in memory of Dan Grady. Father to Taryn Grady, brother to Colleen Booth, Kelly Hampson, and Nick Grady, and son to James and Elizabeth Grady, Dan took his own life on July 31, 2014. This scholarship was established in hopes of assisting students who are looking to pursue a career in the mental health field that benefits others who are in need of assistance in a time of crisis.
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment Status: full- or three quarter-time undergraduate
- Declared Major: Any bachelor’s degree; preferred majors include Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, and Sociology
- Minimum 2.8 GPA
- Grade Level: Junior or Senior
Selection is based on applicant’s desire to pursue a career in the mental health field. Academic achievement is of secondary consideration.
Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
