Jack and Jane Haugsland Undergraduate Leadership and Achievement Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate
- Declared Major: Any bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must meet one of the following criteria (in decreasing order of priority): 1) veteran or active military member, 2) spouse of a veteran or active military member, 3) child of a veteran or active military member, or 4) ROTC cadet
- Must have financial need based on the FAFSA
Selection is based on academic achievement, financial need, the applicant’s desire to continue their education, and demonstrated leadership in non-political extracurricular, volunteer, or employment activities while enrolled at UWO. Preference will be given to applicants from Brown, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties in WI. Preference will be given to students enrolled in the Honors College. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.
Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive two award renewals beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:
- Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
