Jack and Jane Haugsland Freshman Leadership and Achievement Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Any Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 3.5 high school GPA
• Must have need based on the FAFSA and statement
• Must have demonstrated leadership in non-political extracurricular (excluding athletics), volunteer, or employment activities while enrolled in high school

Selection is based primarily on financial need. Academic achievement and leadership is of secondary consideration. Preference will be given to students who plan to apply to the Honors College. Preference will be given to applicants from Brown, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Marquette, Outagamie, and Winnebago counties in WI. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.

Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive three award renewals beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:

• Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
