Information Systems Faculty Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment Status: Full- or half-time undergraduate
  • Declared Major/Minor: Information Systems
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Grade Level: Junior or Senior
  • Must have completed IS 201 or CS 221 with a B or better and must be enrolled in or have completed IS 318 or IS 445
  • Must demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities (excluding athletics) that contribute to the development of their leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, teamwork abilities, interpersonal skills, and technical skills

Selection is based on academic achievement, personal development from extracurricular participation, and how the applicant plans to use technology to solve business challenges. Preference will be given to students who are active members in the UWO IS Club. Financial need is not a consideration. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.

Award Payment: Spring 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
