Allen K. Butcher Music Education Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Music Education with an instrumental emphasis; Primary instrument must be wind or percussion
• Minimum 3.0 high school GPA

Selection is based primarily on outstanding academic and musical achievement and potential for growth, as demonstrated through a scholarship audition. The applicant’s desire to pursue a career in music education and their career goals are of secondary consideration.

Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
