John A. & Jane V. Cleven Entrepreneurial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment Status: Full- or part-time undergraduate
- Declared Major: Any associate or bachelor’s degree
- Must be in good standing
- Must have demonstrated entrepreneurship (e.g. started their own business, involvement in an entrepreneurial venture, helping in the management of an existing family business, etc.).
Selection is based on demonstrated entrepreneurship. Financial need based on a statement may be of secondary consideration.
Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

- Please submit a statement describing your demonstrated entrepreneurship (e.g. started your own business, involvement in an entrepreneurial venture, helping in the management of an existing family business, etc.).
- Please submit a statement describing your need for financial support to continue your education. Make sure to provide detailed information regarding the resources you have to pay for college (scholarships, loans, VA benefits, employer benefits, etc.), your efforts to fund your education (how many hours you typically work per week, how long you’ve been employed, etc), and your remaining amount of financial need.
