Talarek Family Elementary Education Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate or transfer student admitted for Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Declared Major: Elementary Education BSE
• Grade Level: Junior or Senior
• Must have financial need based on FAFSA
• Must be involved in extra-curricular activities (excluding athletics) or community service

Selection is based primarily on financial need. Involvement and leadership is of secondary consideration. Academic achievement may be taken into consideration if necessary. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.

Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited. If the recipient is graduating in fall, they are eligible to receive the full award in Fall 2026.
