Robert Pedersen and Shawn O’Brien Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate or full- or part-time graduate student
- Declared Major: Human Services Leadership, Public Administration (graduate student only), or Business Administration (graduate student only)
- Grade Level: Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student
- Must be planning to pursue a leadership career in human services
Selection is primarily based on the applicant’s desire to pursue a leadership career in human services. The applicant’s need for scholarship support will be of secondary consideration.
Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Make sure to provide detailed information regarding the resources you have to pay for college (scholarships, loans, VA benefits, employer benefits, etc.), your efforts to fund your education (how many hours you typically work per week, how long you’ve been employed, etc), and your remaining amount of financial need.
