ArtsCore Scholarship for Future Teachers
UW Oshkosh ArtsCore offers curricular opportunities, professional development, internships, residencies, grants, and a support network for pre-service teacher candidates and new teachers learning to practice an arts-integrated approach to teaching. This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
- Admit Type: Incoming Freshman or undergraduate transfer student
- Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
- Intended Major: Education
- Must have an interest in arts-integrated instruction
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (based on high school GPA for incoming freshman and transfer GPA for transfer students)
Selection is based on academic achievement, demonstrated commitment to, and potential for, a successful career as a professional educator, and an intent to participate in ArtsCore initiatives during the 2026-2027 academic year to develop and share effective arts-integrated teaching strategies. Preference will be given to applicants from PK-12 partner school districts.
Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

- Please upload your resume. Make sure to include your employment history, volunteer work, extracurricular activities, and any leadership positions you have held.
- Please upload an unofficial copy of your high school transcript (incoming freshman applicants) or your undergraduate transcript (incoming transfer applicants). Your transcript should include courses you are enrolled in for the current academic year.
- You must provide the name and email of two individuals (non-relatives) who have agreed to serve as references to support your application. Your references must comment on your promise and potential.
- Please provide the name and email of your reference. They will be notified to submit their recommendation once added to your application.
