Shirley M. Karlson Research Support Award
This award was created in memory of Dr. Shirley M. Karlson, former Associate Dean and Director of the Graduate Program in the College of Nursing. The award provides graduate nursing students with financial support for research projects. Applicants must have an approved proposal for an SROL/manuscript/capstone/clinical paper on file in the graduate program office and plans for data collection in the same or following semester. Applicant must show sound methodology, relevance to primary healthcare nursing, a copy of the proposal abstract and an estimated budget to complete data collection. Students graduating in the current academic year are eligible to apply. If any criteria are not fulfilled, or if the student withdraws from the program, the award will be withdrawn.
