Willcockson Prizes in the Arts (Music)

Applicant must be an admitted incoming freshman who ranks in the top 25 percent of his or her high school class. Applicant must have a musical background in brass, strings, guitar, woodwinds, percussion, voice or keyboard. Applicant must audition before the music department scholarship committee. If a great distance is involved, applicant may submit a recording. Recipient must register for private lessons and a large ensemble (band, orchestra or choir) during their freshman year to qualify for award disbursement.

  2. Have you registered with the UW Oshkosh music department for your entrance/scholarship audition? Audition must include two works of contrasting style.
  3. Recipients must register for private lessons and a large ensemble (band, orchestra or choir) during their freshman year. Do you agree to do this?
  4. Do you have a musical background in one or more of the following areas: brass, strings, guitar, woodwinds, percussion, voice or keyboard?
  5. Please provide the name and email of a private music teacher or high school music director who has agreed to serve as a reference to support your application. Your reference must comment on your musical background and ability.
