Eileen Hanselman Kuhlers Music Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Music Performance (vocal or instrumental) or Music Education
• Minimum 2.0 high school GPA
• Must have financial need based on the FAFSA, but must only qualify for federal loans and may not be eligible for need-based grants

Selection is based primarily on the applicant’s promise and potential to pursue music studies at the post-secondary level and an inability to attend college without the assistance of this scholarship. Academic achievement will be of secondary consideration. Students must complete an audition to be admitted into the music program, however, audition performance is not a factor in award selection.

Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits or in the required major for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive three award renewals beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:

• Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
• Continue to pursue a Music Performance (vocal or instrumental) or Music Education major
• Continue to have a need for financial support
• Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
