Gary Coll Journalism Fellowship

This award was established in honor of Gary Coll, professor of journalism at UW Oshkosh for 36 years. The fellowship provides financial assistance to journalism students for professional opportunities. Funding may be used to partially cover travel and related expenses for the following opportunities: 1) an internship or job shadow at a prominent journalism organization in a distant city; 2) a journalism conference; or 3) an academic competition for journalism students. Applicant must be a full-time student majoring in journalism at the Oshkosh campus. Applicant must have completed at least 60 credits at the time of application and have a minimum 2.5 overall grade-point average. GPA is one of the key selection criteria. Students graduating in the current academic year are eligible to apply.
