Journal Foundation Walter Jay and Clara Charlotte Damm Scholarship

Applicant must intend to pursue a career in radio, television, journalism, or a related field. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at the Oshkosh campus. Preference will be given to students with a current relationship (e.g. relative of active full- or part-time employees or retiree) with Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, the Milwaukee operations of E.W. Scripps Co. (WTMJ-TV, WTMJ-AM, WKTI-FM), or Gannett Wisconsin (Appleton Post-Crescent, Fond du Lac Reporter, Green Bay Press-Gazette, Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter, Marshfield News Herald, Oshkosh Northwestern, Sheboygan Press, Stevens Point Journal, Wausau Record-Herald, Wisconsin Rapids Daily Tribune). Applicant must have financial need based on the FAFSA. This scholarship is intended for U.S citizens. Applicant should show scholastic ability based on high school or college transcripts as a measure of academic performance and ability to succeed. Previous recipients are eligible to apply. This award will be paid out in Fall 2022.
