Maestro Henri Pensis Award

This award was established in honor of Professor Henri Pensis in recognition of his 30 years of service on the faculty of the department of music. Recipient must be an incoming freshman admitted to the Oshkosh campus with a primary applied instrument of oboe. Applicant must be in the upper third of their graduating class and must demonstrate excellence of musicianship and outstanding skills as a performer. If no qualified oboist is available, the award will be granted to an orchestral string student meeting the same standards described above. The recipient must join the UW Oshkosh orchestra and must remain a member in good standing. This award will be made based on students’ scholarship audition; no application is required to be considered for the award. This award will be paid out in Fall 2021.
