Edward J. Dempsey and Sadie A. Dempsey Memorial Teaching Scholarship

This scholarship was established in memory of former regent Edward J. Dempsey ’01, for whom Dempsey Hall is named, and his wife, Sadie A. Dempsey. Applicant must be a full-time sophomore enrolled in the College of Education and Human Services at the Oshkosh campus. Applicant must have met Gateway I requirements and been admitted, or have applied for fall admission, to the Teacher Education Program. Applicant must have a strong desire to continue his or her education. Applicant must either be from a family of four or more children or must have at least one child of their own. The scholarship will be renewed for an additional year provided the recipient continues to meet the award criteria and funding is available. This award will be split evenly between the Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. If the recipient is not enrolled in the spring semester, the second installment will be forfeited.
