Titan Memorial Scholarship

Students must meet the following criteria to be considered for this award:

  • Must be enrolled at least half-time as an undergraduate student at the Oshkosh campus
  • Must be a degree-seeking student
  • Must have extreme financial need and must be in need of financial support to continue their education at UW Oshkosh for the Spring 2024 semester (e.g. are in jeopardy of withdrawing during the Spring 2024 semester for financial reasons, cannot register for classes due to a past due balance on their student account). This award is not intended to assist students with on-going financial need.

Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. Awards will be made to worthy applicants until funding is depleted. Students’ account balances and access to other financial aid resources will be taken into consideration in the awarding process. Awards will be paid out immediately following selection.

The following are common reasons why applications for this award are declined:

  • Applicant’s expenses for the current semester are already covered through grants, scholarships, loans, and other payments.
  • Applicant wants to graduate without taking out any loans. This award is intended to help students after all other options have been pursued.
  • Applicant hasn’t filed the FAFSA but has been eligible for aid through the FAFSA in the past. Applicant would need to file the FAFSA in order to have your application reconsidered.
  • Applicant didn’t provide enough detail in their statement for the selection committee to determine their level of financial need and/or how they will fund the remainder of their balance.
  • Applicant seems to be in a good financial position for the current semester and would have greater need for a future semester.
  • Applicant applied for funding for a future semester.
