Don P. Burdick Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2014 by Don’s friends, family, colleagues, and former students. Don was a passionate theatre professor and director at UW Oshkosh, working at the University for 36 years before retiring in 1998. This scholarship is intended to encourage life-long participation and love of theatre, providing financial support for students whose personal and professional qualities mirror the commitment and passion for the performing arts that Don embodied. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate enrolled at the Oshkosh campus. Applicant must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA in their major and a minimum of 45 credits completed. First preference will be given to students with a theatre major or minor. However, others are encouraged to apply. Applicant must demonstrate involvement in UW Oshkosh theatre productions. Financial need may be considered, but will not be the deciding factor. Previous recipients are eligible to reapply for the award. However, a student may only received the award a total of two times. This award will be paid out in Fall 2022.
