Dr. Joan L. Simmons Scholarship

Applicant must be a candidate or current graduate student in a licensure, certificate, or master’s degree program within the Literacy and Language Department at the Oshkosh campus. Applicant must be registered to, and in good standing within, the Literacy and Language graduate program. Applicant must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and must have at least 2-3 years experience teaching at the middle or secondary level or as a K-12 discipline specialist (art, music or physical education). Extracurricular (excluding athletics) or community activities, as well as demonstration of financial need based on an essay, will be taken into consideration, but will not be the dominant criteria in the selection process. This award will be paid out in Fall 2024.
