Gary Coll Journalism Fellowship

This award was established in honor of Gary Coll, professor of journalism at UW Oshkosh for 36 years. The fellowship provides financial assistance to journalism students for professional opportunities. Funding may be used to partially cover travel and related expenses for the following opportunities: 1) an internship or job shadow at a prominent journalism organization in a distant city; 2) a journalism conference; or 3) an academic competition for journalism students. Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate enrolled the Oshkosh campus. Applicant must have a declared major or minor within the Department of Journalism, must have completed at least 60 credits, and must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA. GPA is one of the key selection criteria. This award will be paid in the semester in which the recipient is participating in the opportunity.
