CAPP Specific Fields of Interest Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to high school Cooperative Academic Partnership Program (CAPP) students who have been admitted to UW Oshkosh as incoming freshmen for Summer 2023 or Fall 2023. Students attending the Oshkosh, Fox Cities, or the Fond du Lac campus are eligible to apply. Applicant must apply during their senior year of high school. Applicant must have either successfully completed at least one CAPP course or be currently enrolled in a CAPP course at the time of application. Recipients must be enrolled full-time in Fall 2023 to receive the award. This scholarship is not renewable. Students will be considered for these awards based on their CAPP Scholarship Application.

Scholarships will be awarded in the following fields of interest:

  • Biology – Must major in biology, microbiology, pre-med, or radiation technology
  • College of Business – Must major within the College of Business and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative High School GPA
  • Communication Studies – Must have participated in the speech day competition at UWO
  • Communication Studies – Must major in communication studies
  • Education – Must major in elementary education or secondary education and plan to become an elementary, middle, or high school teacher
  • Education – Must major in physical education, health education, adapted physical education, or coaching and plan to become a human kinetics and health education teacher
  • Education – Must major in special education and plan to become a special education teacher
  • Global Languages – Must major, minor, or certificate in French
  • Global Languages – Must major, minor, or certificate in German
  • Global Languages – Must major, minor, or certificate in Japanese
  • Global Languages – Must major, minor, or certificate in Spanish
  • Journalism – Must have attended the Northeastern Wisconsin Scholastic Press Association (NEWSPA) Conference and/or must major in journalism
  • Music – Must join the Titan Thunder Marching Band and must enroll in Music 156
  • Music – Must major in music (must pass an entrance audition to the music program)
  • Non-education majors interested in pursuing a coaching certificate, community health certificate or adventure/outdoor pursuits certificate
  • Physics – Must have taken Physics 191 or enroll in Physics 191 in your first semester as an undergraduate at UWO and must meet one of the following: major in physics or the physics/engineering dual degree program, minor in physics or astronomy, or be an undecided major
