Bruce & Susan Schierstedt

Bruce and Susan Schierstedt both retired from UW Oshkosh in 2011. Bruce worked at UW Oshkosh for 23 years, first in Academic Computing before retiring from the College of Education and Human Services. He earned his BBA from UW Oshkosh in 1988. Sue worked for the UW System for 26 years. During the last 15 years, she was the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Family Business Forum at UW Oshkosh. Sue received her MBA from UW Oshkosh in 1985. Bruce passed away in June 2022.

Bruce and Sue established the Schierstedt Scholarship in 2012 in recognition of the importance of education. During their years of service at UW Oshkosh, they saw students’ need for financial assistance to stay in college and pursue their dreams. Sue herself was able to pursue her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University through the generosity of scholarship donors.
