Family and Friends of E. Garner Horton

The E. Garner Horton Memorial Scholarship was established by Mr. Horton’s family and friends after he passed away in 1988. Mr. Horton was a member of the UW Oshkosh administration and faculty from 1963 to 1983. He was coordinator of public relations, executive director of communication services, and an assistant professor of journalism. He retired after 20 years of service to the University. He was also executive director of Northeastern Wisconsin Scholastic Press Association (NEWSPA), a member of the Chamber of Oshkosh Ambassadors, and a World War II Army veteran.
