Virginia Wagener
Virginia C. Wagener was born on February 24, 1931, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a teaching degree in 1953 and a master’s degree in 1973, both in elementary education. Virginia taught at Gregg School, Roberts School, and Chegwin School for a combined total of 37 years before retiring. She was a member of the Wisconsin Education Association, the Fond du Lac Retired Teachers, a lifetime member of the National Teachers Association, the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, the Saturday Lecture Club, and a volunteer for Loaves and Fishes. Virginia passed away on February 4, 2017. She established the Virginia C. Wagener Memorial Scholarship through her estate.
