Carl Chapman Choral Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
- Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
- Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
- Intended Major: Music Education with voice or keyboard as their primary instrument
- Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
Selection is based on academic achievement and the applicant’s desire to pursue a career in music education and their involvement in choral activities.
Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive three award renewals beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:
- Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
- Remain in good academic standing
- Continue to pursue a Music Education major with voice or keyboard as their primary instrument
- Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
In the event the award cannot be made to an incoming freshman, a one-time award may be given to a current music education major with voice or keyboard as their primary instrument, who has at least junior standing and a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
