Miranda Advocacy Award

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Enrollment Status: Full- or part-time undergraduate
• Declared Major: Social Work
• Must be in good standing
• Grade Level: Senior

Selection is based on exemplary work in advocacy. No application is required for this award. Students must be nominated for this award; self nominations are not accepted. Nominations must include a short essay specifying why the nominee is qualified for the award and the specific activities they have been involved in advocating for persons in need. The nomination process is completed outside Academic Works.

Award Payment: Spring 2026 or Fall 2025 (based on recipient’s graduation date). If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
