James W. Unger Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

  • Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate
  • Declared Major: Biology, Biomedical Science, or Microbiology
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Minimum 36 credits completed
  • Previous recipients are eligible to apply. However, students may only receive the award two times.

Selection is based on academic achievement, career goals, and research experience. Financial need based on an essay will be considered, but will not be the determining factor.

Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
