Emergency scholarships are awarded based on the general Emergency Scholarship Application in AcademicWorks.

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Enrollment Status: Full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate student
• Declared Major: Any nursing program, must be officially admitted to the Nursing Program
• Must have a need for direct educational assistance (e.g. tuition, books) for the Fall 2025 semester, whether due to an emergency situation (e.g. health crisis – personally or within their immediate family, home or apartment fire, or accident) or because of significant financial need (e.g. are in jeopardy of withdrawing for financial reasons)
• Emergency funding must be used for education-related expenses, such as tuition and fees, books, housing, or other reasonable educational expenses. However, students may qualify for funding due to a personal emergency (e.g. financial crisis, health crisis – personally or within their immediate family, home or apartment fire, or accident)
• Emergency funding is meant to assist with a one-time expense, not ongoing financial needs
