Stephanie M. Honer and Martin H. Egan Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:
- Enrollment Status: Full- or half-time undergraduate
- Declared Major: Any bachelor’s degree within the School of Education & Human Services
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
- Minimum 40 credits completed
- Must demonstrate involvement in volunteer and/or extracurricular activities (excluding athletics) directly related to serving others
Selection is based on academic achievement, involvement in volunteer and/or extracurricular activities, and goals. Preference will be given to activities that serve children and adolescents. Financial need will be considered, but will not be the dominant criterion in the selection process. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships.
Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Make sure to provide detailed information regarding the resources you have to pay for college (scholarships, loans, VA benefits, employer benefits, etc.), your efforts to fund your education (how many hours you typically work per week, how long you’ve been employed, etc), and your remaining amount of financial need.
- Please submit a statement describing your personal, educational, and career goals.
- Please provide the name and email of a UWO faculty member who has agreed to serve as a reference to support your application. Your reference must comment on your campus and community involvement.
- Please provide the name and email of an individual (on- or off-campus) who has supervised your volunteer work and has agreed to serve as a reference to support your application. Your reference must comment on your campus and community involvement.
