Muriel A. Hawkins Legacy Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Enrollment Status: Full-time undergraduate
• Declared Major: Any Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Must be accepted into a UWO-sponsored study abroad program that takes place in the 2026 calendar year
• Must be currently receiving services from the Center for Student Success and Belonging (click here for a list of programs offered by the Center)
• Must have a clean disciplinary record
• Recipient is expected to participate in classroom visits and attend in the study abroad fair to present on their experience with students

Selection is based on academic achievement and the relevance of the applicant’s study aboard program to their future career and/or personal goals.

Award Payment: Applied to study abroad program fee. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.
