Cheryl Mellenthin Nursing Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: BSN (traditional program)
• Must have financial need based on a statement
• Recipient will be expected to work in order to help pay for educational expenses (summer or vacation work is acceptable)
• A copy of the recipient’s transcript will be provided to the donor each year

Selection is based on primarily on financial need. Applicant’s career goals are also a consideration. Preference will be given to students from Wisconsin.

Award Payment: Split evenly between Fall 2026 & Spring 2027. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive three award renewals beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:

• Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
• Remain in good academic standing
• Must be accepted into the Nursing Program once eligible
• Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
