James H. Fischer Family Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Grade Level: High School Senior
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Biology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Health, Medical Imaging, Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, PP-Medicine, or Geology (education majors are not eligible)
• Minimum 3.0 high school GPA
• Must not have more than one sibling

Selection is based on academic achievement and career goals. Financial need is not a consideration.

Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive one award renewal beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:

• Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
• Continue to pursue a Biology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Health, Medical Imaging, Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, PP-Medicine, or Geology major
• Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
