Hartman Family Scholarships

This scholarship is awarded to UWO students who meet the following criteria:

• Admit Term: Summer 2026 or Fall 2026
• Admit Type: Incoming Freshman
• Enrollment Status: Full-time upon enrollment
• Intended Major: Any Bachelor’s Degree
• Must demonstrate involvement in extracurricular activities (excluding athletics) or work during high school
• Must have financial need

Selection shall be based primarily on the applicant’s involvement in extracurricular activities or work. Due to NCAA Division III regulations, athletic leadership, ability, participation, or performance cannot be considered in the awarding of scholarships. Financial need will be of secondary consideration. Preference will be given to students planning to major in business, social sciences (Anthropology, Economics, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Women’s and Gender Studies), physical sciences (Chemistry, Environmental Studies-Environmental Science Emphasis, Geology, or Physics), or biological sciences (Biology, Biomedical Science, Environmental Health, or Microbiology). Preference will also be given to applicants from Winnebago or Wood Counties in WI.

Award Payment: Fall 2026. If the recipient is not enrolled in the required number of credits for the indicated semester, the award payment will be forfeited.

Award Renewal: Recipients are eligible to receive three award renewal beyond the initial installment provided they meet the following criteria:

• Maintain full-time enrollment at UWO
• Remain in good standing
• Sufficient funding is available to support award renewal
