Salmon Foundation Scholarship

The Salmon Foundation Scholarship is awarded to highly motivated and academically able undergraduate students enrolled at the Oshkosh campus who have a demonstrated need for financial assistance. Applicant must have completed at least one semester at UW Oshkosh. Applicant must file the FAFSA (international students and those not eligible to file the FAFSA are exempt from this requirement). Applicant must be majoring in nursing, education, business (preference to accounting), or medical technology. Applicant must be committed to an educational plan that will lead, upon graduation, to a career with a self-sufficient wage.

Preference will be given to single parents, international students, first-generation college students, older students and those who are overcoming significant financial, social, emotional or physical barriers to success. Finalists will be required to interview with a Salmon Foundation staff member before recipients will be determined.

Based upon student performance, financial need and availability of funding, recipients may be eligible to have this award renewed for additional semesters beyond the initial award. Students with a family or employment relationship with any member of the Doug and Carla Salmon Foundation board, staff or scholarship selection committee are not eligible.
